* Gold *Coast 600 @LucasdiGrassi

*Gold Coast 600 Race 1 - Lucas and his teammate Michael Patrizi finished P11 with their car #91! Great job!!! Article about Race 1 lap by lap...*

Gold Coast 600 Race 2 - Unfortunately Lucas didn't race today, because Patrizi made a contact with the wall at the qualifying session and the damage was too serious to repair it in time. What a pity! Better luck next time !!!

**Patrizi and Di Grassi Ruled Out Of Race 23*...

TEKNO Autosports drivers Michael Patrizi and Lucas DiGrassi will miss the second 300km ARMOR ALL Gold Coast 600 race after damage sustained in qualifying earlier today.
Patrizi ended today’s 30-minute qualifying session 22nd after making hefty contact with the wall at Turn 12 when he came across a limping Team BOC Commodore of Jason Bright.
Bright had damaged his car after a substantial kerb impact earlier in the lap and was crawling around the circuit to pit lane with just six minutes remaining in the session.
Patrizi’s car was stranded on the circuit and brought out the fourth red flag of an already interrupted session.
Despite recent niggle between the two, Patrizi was philosophical about today’s incident with Bright.
“He didn’t help the situation but I have to take some of the blame,” He said.
“He (Bright) was stuffing around and going slowly. I made the mistake and it caught me by surprise. He went to the apex, baulked Webby, and I had to hit the brake and the kerb (to avoid them) and that’s what put me in the wall.
“It’s a massive shame for the Tekno crew. And in the end the damage is just too much to repair safely, so we’re out.
“This Tekno crew are amazing and this is really disappointing for them, but that’s the way it is and we will bounce back in Abu Dhabi.”
Patrizi and his ex-Formula 1 driving co-driver Lucas DiGrassi qualified 19th yesterday but strong race pace and some luck in avoiding the race start carnage saw the pair climb through the field to finish 11th.
Patrizi’s team mates Jonathon Webb and Marc Lieb ran in the top five most of the race and ultimately finished second, just 0.5s behind winners Jamie Whincup and Sebastien Bourdais.
Webb qualified third today, behind Whincup and Mark Winterbottom.
Race 23 of the championship commences at 13:40pm local time – stay tuned to BigPond Sport for live updates across the 102 laps and 300km!

* Lucas Di Grassi is another Brazilian confirmed to compete in the Macau GP. However, unlike Pipo Derani and Felipe Nasr, the former pilot of the Virgin in F1 will not take part in the Formula 3 race. * Will compete in the GT class race aboard a Ferrari F458 AF Corse team.

* This will be the first time that Di Grassi returns to former Portuguese enclave in China since winning the 2005 edition of the F3 when Robert Kubica topped and Sebastian Vettel. *

*Lucas di Grassi - *Australian V8* - * Surfers Paradise*...

After disputing the stage of World Endurance at Interlagos, Brazilian driver Lucas di Grassi will participate in the traditional proof of the Australian V8 in Surfers Paradise, Southeast.

Along with the German Marc Lieb, Porsche pilot officer, the 28 year old Brazilian has signed with Tekno, the team that currently occupies the seventh position in the championship of V8. He will share a Holden VE Commodore with Australian Michael Patrizi and New Zealander Jonny Reid.

"As demonstrated by their tremendous result with Audi in Brazil [in World Endurance] the record of Lucas will ensure that the car # 91 is competitive," said team boss Bruce Jenkins.

Also called Gold Coast 600, proof of Australian V8 in Surfers' Paradise will be played between 19 and 21 October. One of the attractions in the proof is the mixture of different categories of pilots in local teams.

Among the names on the list are the drivers of Indy Will Power, James Hinchcliffe, Simon Pagenaud, Justin Wilson and Mike Conway and former F1 Gianni Morbidelli, Mika Salo, Franck Montagny and Nick Heidfeld.

Besides the rapid move by Audi in World Endurance, Di Grassi is the official driver for Pirelli in F1 and Formula E, a new category launched by FIA which will be exclusive to single seaters electric.
